This isn't, obviously, a real estate site. However, I'm including a couple of listings
here that might be of special interest to colleagues who are considering the
possibility of retiring in Italy, like I did, or else might want to have a "home away
from home" for regular stays in Italy. Google terms like "immobiliare" or 'in vendita'
" to find hundred of other listings. Some sites are written in English, and some
create the opportunity to shop by region. Prices tend to be quite high in regions
like Tuscany, but much lower here in northern Lazio (the region that includes
Rome)

("ex-convento di San Francesco"). It can be finished off
as either 2 small apartments (one to keep,one to
rent?), or as one larger apartment, for someone who
intends to spend long periods of time in Tuscania.

Property 2: This is a farmhouse house in the
country just outside the medieval walls of Tuscania.
It includes 3 acres of land, and offers a fantastic
view of the Marta River Valley. It's location within the
Tuscania Nature Reserve is a plus because no
further construction will be permitted.
